Pedagogical Approaches

The Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach, based on Jerome Bruner's conception of enactive, iconic and symbolic modes of representation, is a structured teaching sequence used in the teaching of Mathematics at North Vista. We also placed a strong emphasis on rich and authentic learning experiences, coupled with ample hands-on activities, to help students make sense of their learning.
